Brake Disc Re-Surfacing

  • We use a precision on-car lathe that resurfaces the disc while it’s still mounted to the hub. This process accounts for hub runout, ensuring the disc face is perfectly true to the wheel hub — something traditional bench lathes can’t correct. The result is a smooth, balanced braking surface with no vibration or uneven contact.

  • This service is intended for vehicles with performance, rare, or expensive braking systems. It’s ideal when replacement discs are costly or hard to source. It’s not typically suitable for smaller vehicles with low-cost brake components.

  • We’ll often need to inspect the vehicle to check disc thickness, overall disc condition, and whether your disc diameter is compatible with our equipment. We also assess whether skimming is a safe and viable option based on the manufacturer's minimum thickness guidelines.

  • We’ve carried out disc resurfacing on a wide range of vehicles — from classic cars to modern performance models. Our growing portfolio means we often know what works (and what doesn’t) for specialist braking setups, and we’re always honest if a job isn’t suitable or safe.

  • Our current booking time is approximately 3–8 weeks in advance. Please submit an enquiry form and we’ll get back to you within 1–2 working days.
