Brake Disc Re-Surfacing
-
We use a precision on-car lathe that resurfaces the disc while itβs still mounted to the hub. This process accounts for hub runout, ensuring the disc face is perfectly true to the wheel hub β something traditional bench lathes canβt correct. The result is a smooth, balanced braking surface with no vibration or uneven contact.
-
This service is intended for vehicles with performance, rare, or expensive braking systems. Itβs ideal when replacement discs are costly or hard to source. Itβs not typically suitable for smaller vehicles with low-cost brake components.
-
Weβll often need to inspect the vehicle to check disc thickness, overall disc condition, and whether your disc diameter is compatible with our equipment. We also assess whether skimming is a safe and viable option based on the manufacturer's minimum thickness guidelines.
-
Weβve carried out disc resurfacing on a wide range of vehicles β from classic cars to modern performance models. Our growing portfolio means we often know what works (and what doesnβt) for specialist braking setups, and weβre always honest if a job isnβt suitable or safe.
