ADAS Calibration

  • ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibration is the process of precisely aligning the cameras, sensors, and radars that control features like lane assist, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and traffic sign recognition.

These systems rely on millimetre-accurate data — so if components are even slightly out of position (after repairs, windscreen replacement, or alignment work), the vehicle may misjudge distances, fail to detect hazards, or trigger false alerts.

Proper calibration ensures your safety features work exactly as the manufacturer intended, keeping you — and others — safe on the road.

  • You’ll typically need calibration after:

    • Windscreen replacement

    • Accident damage

    • Suspension or steering work

    • Wheel alignment

    • Replacing or disconnecting ADAS components (camera, radar, etc.)

    • Static calibration is carried out in our workshop using specialist equipment and targets.

    • Dynamic calibration requires a road test under specific conditions.
Some vehicles require one or the other — many require both.

  • Incorrectly calibrated systems can give false readings or stop working altogether. This can compromise your vehicle's safety features and may result in fault codes, warning lights, or failed safety checks.

  • Our booking times vary depending on workload and the type of calibration required. We’re typically booked 3–4 weeks in advance, but ADAS calibrations can sometimes be accommodated sooner, especially if part of accident repair or windscreen replacement.
